SALTY is a luxury interior design brand that incorporates the art of surfboard shaping with furniture design.
The elegant waves of Biarritz inspired the surfer Benjamin Rossillon and the designer Philippe Tissot to create unique surftables, perfect for any interior style enviroment.
Hey Benjamin! What is your background in interior design?
I didn't have any background in interior design. However, I have always been passionate about architecture and handcrafted products.
SALTY has a minimalist and classy design, inspired by the ocean. Did you have in mind from the beginning to target surfers?
All around the planet, all the surf camps or accommodation dedicated to the surf culture, have a coastal and surfing decor.
Surfing is more than a sport; it’s a lifestyle. There was no furniture and home decor brand dedicated to our culture. SALTY is the answer to this lack.
How did you meet the designer Philippe Tissot?
I met Philippe through a mutual friend. He is the designer of the company.He did an amazing job by merging mid-century design and original surfboard.
Which is the best seller amongst your products? And according to you, why?
“The One” so far! Consensual and easy to match in any kind of interiors.
What was the best moment of your journey with SALTY?
When I receive emails from our customers with pictures of their living rooms and the compliments.
I feel like we bring happiness and ocean vibes in their life.
Tell us three reasons why your products are exceptional.
Unique, authentic and handcrafted. We have created a new vertical in the Surf Industry into offering a new kind of product for our global community of surfers.
We respect, show and celebrate the art of surfing with our Surfboard Coffee Table. It’s an amazing way to keep connected to our beautiful ocean and our culture.
Do you have any dreams related to SALTY for the next future?
Of course! Expanding the range and working with pro surfers and interior designers.
Every day we try to makes our dream alive. We will announce in the next couple of days partnerships with an incredible waterman and a famous interior designer.
